California Grows Half of U.S. Fruits, Nuts and Veggies




According to the California Department of Food and Agriculture, California produces about half of the nation’s fresh fruits, nuts and vegetables.



California’s amazingly diverse farms grow over 400 different food, fiber and nursery products. California farms are some of the most productive in the world meaning we not only grow a lot of different things, we also grow a lot of everything we grow! That’s good news for the hundreds of millions of families across the country and around the world that want the best food they can buy. Fresh, healthful and delicious California farm products can be found in Tiburon, Toledo, Tokyo and maybe even Timbuktu!
